I make craft items to raise funds for our annual gift box appeal to help kids in Kosovo. I started the charity 10 years ago, calling it ' Kids Acting for Kids Abroad and Home' shortened to K.A.F.K.A.H. School kids give us over 1000 boxes of gifts and we use the craft money to buy items like baby talc, writing materials etc to top up the boxes. The crafts are cards, pipe cleaner dogs, Xmas stockings and lavender bags. I am connected to doggy people and a dog charity, so the theme of cards tends to be dog related plus cats, using peel offs and stamps. A new project will be making book marks using a lollipop stick, pom poms and googly eyes, but am not sure whether to paint the stick or perhaps use varnish or nail polish. It is all fun stuff and I love crafting.
